He has won accolades for projects including Moonamathoral, Ente Noora, and Uyire Thedi Oru Payanam, along with jury recognition at the FEFKA Directions Union Short Film Fest 2023. Sumesh Cheeru has also worked on Malayalam feature films including OOHA and VARKY, bringing strong musical storytelling and real-world industry experience into the classroom.
